Day 38, coffee filters...

Ooh white coffee filters are a perfect substitute for tissue paper :)

I just dipped them halfway into a dye bath of food coloring and water and voila. So pretty. I want to make a whole bouquet of these!

Day 34, flower inspired makeup

I didn't want to make an actual flower, but I used this one (I have no idea what it is) that I came across a picture of for inspiration. I need stronger pigmented makeup!

Day 30, BALLOONS!

Um....Yeah...I'm a balloon artist too :P

haha this is so much fun. I got a kit of balloon animal thingies a few years ago and just found them. YAY


And I made you a doggy too!

Day 28, Gloriosa Lily

Painted this today using mega watery acrylics! It's not finished yet, but I have to go to work now. :P

Day 27, Crochet olay!

Me and my crochet hook. Good friends sometimes, bitter enemies others. When it's good, it's good, but then my fingers cramp and i forget to count my chains...and I throw the yarn aside and do something else :P

Anyway, I tried to follow a tutorial for making crochet flowers and it was a disaster. The lingo boggles my mind and I'm too lazy to learn it :P
Maybe when I am a bit more patient. But this was quite relaxing and even though simple, I'm quite proud of it because normally it's a disaster. :P It's kinda cute...

Day 25, watercolors :)

Ooh I found a picture of a zamfir coreopsis in a flower magazine I had and gave it a go with this set of watercolors I have never touched before :P I had never seen or heard of this flower before, but it's pretty badass.

All I have to say is watercolors are awesome. I'm not the most patient painter, but I gave it a whirl. :)

Day 20, Embroidery zwei

My second attempt at machine embroidery. I'm a little addicted. I have been playing with the machine trying to figure out thread tensions. Anyhow...I made this random flower embroidery today.

I need more thread colors asap :/

Day 15, MAKE IT RAIN!

I had a busy day and honestly I'm too lazy and tired to put on my crafting cap :P

So I followed the 365 guidelines and today I was supposed to use money as inspiration. So here is a flower from my money tree.
It was crossbred with a Canadian tree I guess because its center is a Looney (a canadian dollar, cute huh!?)....special Vancouver Olympics 2010 coin too! o0o0o0

Day 14, Applique!

So, two things!

One, I did a simple project today... a flower shaped applique on a totebag I use for dance class.

Day 13, Lace & Fabric flower

Ooooh pretty, eh?
I saw a fabric flower on a purse and got inspired! I experimented with a few folding techniques until I got something really similar. I love it!

Day 11, Bead Flower

I gave up on following the directions for the 365 day challenge :P

Anyway today I made a little flower decoration out of beads and wire. It looks kind of fall-themed.

Day 10, MAKEUP!

Finally, right? I had a very busy day. So I did what's easy and fun. Makeup :) Okay...this is some random flower. Next time I do it I'll model it after a flower that exists in nature. :P But it was fun.

Day 5, Shells

I believe today's theme was something you collect. I collect shell beads.

Okay, I admit this is lame. But it was one of those days. :P

Day 4, Can tab blossum!

So today's theme was supposed to be go take a walk and use materials that you find. Well, I didn't feel like taking a walk because there are 6 inches of snow on the ground and I didn't want to play with snow :/
So I was thinking and I always see cans in the forest when I go for walks, and I have a bucket of can tabs. So why not?
